I still haven't gotten around to taking pictures down in the basement yet. I don't know if I'm just too scared or just too lazy. Possibly a combination of both. Yeah, that's probably what it is. On a brighter note, I've gotten plenty of ideas for drawings, paintings and photos lately. Now it's just a matter of overcoming aforementioned laziness, getting off my derriere and actually drawing/painting/shooting. Somehow that always seems to be the biggest problem...

I'm planning to take some more pictures with this umbrella I have at home that has little lights attached to it. (Looks like this: http://www.giftsguideuk.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/twilight-umbrella-297x300.jpg) I want to take some pictures down in the basement of the apartment building where I live. The problem is that the basement is probably the scariest place I've ever been. No words can really describe it; those little noises and the dark corners make for some scaryness beyond belief. So I realized I've been on deviantART for 8 years (jeez... 8 years :-o) but I've never really gotten into it, despite its potential. So now I decided to start uploading more of my art, start using the forums and actually understanding these terms that I never really understood (like, what's up with these Llamas?). Feels good, it's like a new beginning... or something.

Starting to move away from just doing photography and have moved into... well, basically any other art form. Right now it's mainly painting and drawing, but I'm also doing little sculptures from time to time and have been writing poetry and songs and started learning how to play the piano. I love the fact that there are so many outlets for creativity and for expressing oneself, that there really is no limit to it all.

It's pretty cool how another person can inspire you so much. The last few days, I've taken some of the best pictures I've ever taken, in my opinion. But I would never ever have come up with the ideas for them if it weren't for my girlfriend. She is, indeed, a true muse. :) Some pictures take sooo long to get. The latest one, I had to experiment a bit with freezing flowers and seeing how the time in the freezer affects the water. It took 3 days, but I was really happy with the result.
